ASUBEB Warns Public Against Fresh Fake Recruitment Circulars

The Abia State Universal Basic Education Board (ASUBEB) has again cautioned the public against falling victim to fake recruitment notices being circulated on social media and within local government education areas across the state.

Just two days after dismissing an earlier fraudulent circular, another fake notice has surfaced, claiming that the Board is recruiting teachers willing to work in rural areas.

In a statement issued on October 9, 2025, and signed by the Board Secretary, Dr. Uzoamaka Amah-Mbah, ASUBEB clarified that the purported circular did not originate from the Executive Chairman or the Board.

The statement noted that a close look at the document exposes it as fake, as its letterhead differs entirely from the official ASUBEB letterhead.

The Board urged the public to disregard such misinformation, adding that any authentic recruitment exercise will be formally announced by the Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education in partnership with ASUBEB and the State Education Management Board (SEMB) through official channels.

ASUBEB reaffirmed that Abia State remains focused on its positive developmental path and will not be distracted by falsehoods or attempts to mislead the public.
