Nnamdi Kanu Withdraws Plan to Call Witnesses, Insists Charges Are Baseless

The detained leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, has withdrawn his earlier plan to call witnesses in his ongoing trial at the Federal High Court in Abuja. This marks a significant shift in his defence strategy as the case continues to draw national and international attention.

Kanu, who has been in detention for several years, initially indicated his intention to invite witnesses to testify in his favour. However, his legal team has now informed the court that he will no longer be calling any witnesses to the stand.
