Former Kaduna State Governor, Nasir el-Rufai, has declared that 230 million Nigerians are ready to defeat the All Progressives Congress (APC) and governors defecting to the party, rallying instead behind the African Democratic Congress (ADC).

He made the statement during the inauguration of the Plateau State chapter of the ADC National Contact and Mobilisation Office.

El-Rufai said it was clear that Nigerians were tired of the current leadership and were seeking an alternative capable of rescuing the nation.

He said: “Everyone is tired of the APC and PDP. Nigerians are looking to the ADC to save the country. Governors are defecting from PDP to APC, but by God’s grace, 230 million Nigerians will defeat 25 governors.”

According to him, the ADC represents the interests of youths and women, and will, between 2027 and 2031, nurture a new generation of young leaders to take over national leadership.

He emphasised that the party’s leaders are united and committed to promoting credible candidates, sound policies, integrity, and ethical governance that will benefit Nigerians.
