The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has urged Corps members to use social media responsibly, stressing the importance of creating content that positively reflects both the Scheme and Nigeria.

Brigadier General Olakunle Nafiu, Director General of the NYSC, issued the warning while addressing the 2025 Batch ‘C’ Corps members at the Delta State Orientation Camp in Issele-Uku. He emphasized that any negative posts on social media could attract sanctions.

The DG also advised Corps members to adhere strictly to camp rules, avoid unauthorized travel, and comply with all instructions. He encouraged them to participate fully in biometric registration and Community Development Service activities, respect the cultural values of host communities, and maintain a good image at their places of primary assignment.

Earlier, NYSC Delta State Coordinator John Kwaghe reported that 2,101 Corps members — 944 male and 1,157 female — had been deployed to the state. He noted that camp activities were progressing smoothly, with high levels of participation and discipline among both officials and Corps members. The DG further urged the Corps members to uphold the core values of the NYSC, including integrity, efficiency, transparency, commitment, and patriotism, throughout their service year and beyond.
