Rt. Hon. Amobi Ogah Unveils Grand-Scale Empowerment Initiative, Reaffirms Commitment to Expansive Constituency Development

In a remarkable demonstration of visionary leadership and people-centered governance, the Member Representing Isuikwuato/Umunneochi Federal Constituency, Rt. Hon. Amobi Godwin Ogah, has once again redefined the standards of constituency empowerment. He executed a large-scale distribution of economic support items, including automobiles, tractors, tricycles, sewing machines, and other productivity-enhancing tools, aimed at accelerating the socio-economic liberation of his constituents.

The elaborate empowerment programme, held at Onuaku Primary School Field, Uturu, Isuikwuato, marked the second edition of his highly impactful representation efforts. Addressing the mammoth crowd, Ogah stated that the initiative was inspired by the overwhelming mandate and profound goodwill bestowed upon him by the electorate.

> “The core objective of this empowerment is to stimulate the economic and social emancipation of my constituents. From the very day I was declared winner, the magnitude of love my people expressed left me astonished,” he declared.

“My target is that by next year, every ward in this constituency shall be equipped with at least one tractor to strengthen agricultural productivity and improve livelihoods.”

Ogah extolled the leadership prowess of Governor Alex Otti, describing him as a transformational leader whose actions have continued to reposition Abia State on the trajectory of genuine development. He applauded the Governor for clearing inherited salary arrears, elevating the welfare of traditional rulers, and restoring security across vulnerable communities—particularly within Isuikwuato/Umunneochi.

According to the lawmaker, these gestures attest to the Governor’s commitment to a governance philosophy anchored on transparency, accountability, and human capital advancement. He assured that Governor Otti would secure an overwhelming mandate in the next general election due to his exemplary performance.

Ogah reiterated that political leadership is fundamentally a call to stewardship rather than an avenue for self-serving pursuits. He urged other elected officials in the state to maintain unwavering support for the Governor’s ongoing socio-economic renaissance.

He further highlighted the numerous projects and interventions he has facilitated within the constituency, urging beneficiaries to deploy their empowerment items responsibly to elevate their economic standing.

Representing the Governor, the Secretary to the State Government, Prof. Kenneth Kanu, commended Ogah’s exceptional representation.

Also present was the Chairman of the House Committee on Appropriation, Rt. Hon. Abubakar Kabir Abubakar, represented by Rt. Hon. Mark Essien, who described Ogah as one of the most industrious and results-oriented lawmakers of the 10th National Assembly.

> “Rt. Hon. Amobi Ogah has distinguished himself. He has merited a second tenure through performance, not promises,” he affirmed.


In the same vein, Rt. Hon. Ginger Onwusibe praised Ogah’s unprecedented achievements, stating that he attended the event to show solidarity and to acknowledge Ogah’s outstanding record, which he said justifies his re-election.

Delivering his exhortation, the Methodist Bishop of Isuikwuato Diocese, Rt. Rev. Dr. O. C. Chiemeka, lauded Ogah for his benevolence and urged beneficiaries to apply the items judiciously.

> “What you are receiving today is a test of responsibility. When you prove faithful with what belongs to another, God will entrust you with your own. This is a manifestation of divine favour, and I pray that God continues to uplift Rt. Hon. Amobi Ogah for empowering others,” the Bishop said.
