Former star Wayne Rooney has warned that Mohamed Salah is jeopardizing his legacy at Liverpool FC following recent public criticism of the club and its manager.
Salah had claimed he was “thrown under the bus” by the club after being benched for several matches and suggested that his relationship with new head coach Arne Slot had broken down.
Rooney described those comments as arrogant and disrespectful to teammates, the manager, and the fans, arguing that such behaviour undermines the respect and legacy Salah built over eight years at the club.
He urged Slot to assert his authority, suggesting that Salah should be dropped from upcoming matches or told to step aside until things calm down.
Rooney warned that unless Salah quickly mends relations or moves on, he risks tarnishing what had been an outstanding career at Liverpool.
