Uganda’s coach has named a 30-man provisional squad for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations, including 30-year-old forward Uchechukwu Ikpeazu, who is of Nigerian descent.

The team marks Uganda’s return to AFCON since 2019 and has been drawn in Group C alongside Nigeria, Tanzania, and Tunisia.

Ikpeazu, born in London to a Nigerian father and Ugandan mother, officially joined the Ugandan national team in 2021.

The provisional squad, combining experienced players with emerging talents, will train ahead of two friendly matches before the final 28-player roster is announced.
