Governor Uba Sani, has advised newly mobilised members of the National Youth Service Corps to use their service year as a platform to promote unity and mutual understanding across the country.
Addressing the corps members at the conclusion of the 2025 Batch C orientation programme, the governor congratulated them on completing the exercise and applauded their discipline, perseverance and positive conduct during the three-week camp.
He urged them to integrate fully into their host communities by learning local customs and languages, building friendships and respecting cultural and religious differences as part of efforts to foster national cohesion.
The governor further reminded the corps members to remain vigilant about their personal safety and to promptly notify relevant authorities of any suspicious situations, while contributing meaningfully to the development of their places of primary assignment, including schools, health centres and other public institutions.
The state NYSC coordinator also commended the participants for their active involvement in camp activities and skills acquisition programmes, encouraging them to accept their postings with an open mind and initiate community-based projects that would leave lasting positive impacts during their service year.
