Paris Saint-Germain forward Ousmane Dembélé has been named the FIFA Best Men’s Player for 2025, capping a remarkable season marked by outstanding performances for both club and country.

Renowned for his speed, creativity and clinical finishing, Dembélé was instrumental in PSG’s domestic and European campaigns. His consistent displays also proved vital to the French national team, contributing to a series of impressive results in international competitions.

Reacting to the award, Dembélé described the honour as a collective achievement. “It is a great privilege to receive this recognition,” he said. “I owe it to my teammates at PSG and with the national team. Their support and belief made this possible.”

In the women’s category, Barcelona and Spain midfielder Aitana Bonmatí was named FIFA Best Women’s Player for 2025. Bonmatí delivered a stellar season, driving Barcelona’s success at both domestic and continental levels with her leadership, vision and creativity. She also played a pivotal role in Spain’s achievements on the international stage.

“This award represents the hard work of everyone around me,” Bonmatí said. “I am thankful to my teammates and coaches for their guidance and encouragement throughout the season.”

The awards once again underscore FIFA’s commitment to celebrating individual excellence in football, while recognising players whose impact extends beyond personal accolades to significant contributions for both club and country.
