The Umuasua community has honoured their illustrious son, Hon. Lucky Johnson, with an Award of Honour in recognition of his outstanding contributions to the development and progress of the community and humanity at large.

The award was presented during the community’s 2025 End-of-Year Celebration, which also featured the launch of a ₦200 million Civic and Skill Acquisition Centre project. The event highlighted significant strides in community development and reaffirmed the strong bond between Umuasua sons and daughters both at home and in the diaspora.

In his acceptance speech, Hon. Johnson expressed deep appreciation to the Umuasua Progressive Association, led by its President-General, Mazi Ozo N. Igbokwe, for considering him worthy of the honour. He commended the organizers and pledged continued commitment to the growth of the community.

Also present at the ceremony was his elder brother, Kenneth Ahia, SAN, who was equally honoured. He joined in appreciating guests and dignitaries who took time out of their busy schedules to grace the occasion.
