Mobile technology brand TECNO has taken a major step in supporting youth and community development in Lagos State by completing new football facilities designed to nurture young talent and expand grassroots sports opportunities.
The latest project, a newly built 5‑a‑side football pitch at the Alade Sports Complex in the Alimosho area, was officially opened in December. The facility is part of TECNO’s wider commitment to providing quality sports infrastructure in underserved communities, creating safe and accessible spaces for aspiring young players to train, compete, and hone their skills.
In collaboration with local partners, including community leaders and sports professionals, TECNO aims to ensure these facilities contribute to long‑term talent discovery and community engagement. The company has also delivered other pitches in Lagos, including at Sura on Lagos Island, reinforcing its investment in grassroots football as part of its corporate social responsibility initiatives.
Representatives from TECNO highlighted that the projects are about more than recreation — they are platforms for opportunity, youth empowerment, and social inclusion, with the potential to help young footballers progress from local games to higher levels of competition.
The rollout of these facilities aligns with TECNO’s broader vision of fostering social impact through sports across Nigeria and Africa, tapping into the continent’s deep pool of football passion and promise.
