Chief Mascot Uzo Kalu, a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress APC and Abia 2027 Election Aspirant has reaffirmed that unity within the ruling party remains critical to sustaining its leadership role in Nigeria’s democratic journey. He stated that the APC must continue to operate as a platform of inclusion, justice and collective responsibility if it hopes to retain the confidence of Nigerians.
Kalu called on party leaders at all levels to listen more, consult widely and treat every member with dignity, noting that internal cohesion is the backbone of any strong political movement. According to him, when leaders create an atmosphere of openness and respect, members feel valued and become more committed to the party’s vision and mission.
He stressed that loyalty within the APC must be mutual, adding that the party should protect its members just as members defend and promote the party. Kalu explained that genuine loyalty cannot be built on intimidation or favoritism but must be rooted in fairness, justice and sincerity of purpose.
The APC chieftain also used the opportunity to commend President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his bold leadership and reform driven governance, describing him as a leader determined to reposition Nigeria on the path of growth and stability. He said the president’s policies reflect courage, vision and a deep understanding of the nation’s long term needs.
Kalu noted that the party has a duty to rally around the president and ensure that internal distractions do not undermine the delivery of good governance. He warned that internal divisions only weaken the party and distract from the real task of service to the Nigerian people.
He concluded by urging party members to recommit themselves to the founding ideals of the APC, emphasizing that unity, fairness and mutual loyalty remain the party’s strongest political assets. According to him, a united APC that supports its leadership and respects its members will continue to command national trust.
