Eze Dr. Linus Nto Mbah, Chairman of the Abia State Council of Traditional Rulers, has condemned what he described as recent attacks on Governor Alex Otti by former Governor and Senator Orji Uzor Kalu.
Reacting to alleged political meetings in Umuahia, Eze Mbah dismissed claims of a 2027 plan to unseat Governor Otti, saying the plot is “dead on arrival.” He stressed that Abians are satisfied with Otti’s leadership and are already prepared to ensure his re-election.
The traditional ruler highlighted Governor Otti’s achievements in infrastructure, healthcare, education, electricity, security, and public service reforms. He particularly praised the full reconstruction of key roads in Abia North, including the Umuahia–Uzuakoli–Akara–Alayi–Abiriba road and the Omenụko Bridge, countering claims that the Governor’s projects were superficial.
Eze Mbah also pointed to timely payment of salaries and pensions for workers, as well as transformative projects like electric buses and the Umuahia Central Bus Terminal, as evidence of purposeful governance.
He warned politicians against attempts to reverse Abia’s progress, saying the state has been “liberated” under Governor Otti and urging citizens to remain focused and supportive of his administration.
