Governor Umo Eno has instructed his commissioners to present detailed reports on their ministries’ achievements in 2025 and outline their targets for 2026.
The directive was issued at the opening of a two-week ministerial briefing exercise aimed at enhancing accountability and aligning government activities with the administration’s ARISE Agenda.
During the sessions, members of the State Executive Council, ministries, departments, and agencies are expected to provide comprehensive scorecards highlighting staff strength, past accomplishments, and future projections. The governor emphasised that plans should not only reflect budget figures but also demonstrate how they support the ARISE framework and improve the lives of residents.
Describing 2026 as a year for action and measurable results, Eno stressed that the briefing will help set clear priorities and ensure efficient service delivery across the state.
He also urged commissioners to encourage citizen participation in voter registration and political engagement activities, highlighting a focus on governance and civic involvement alongside developmental goals.
Government officials have welcomed the initiative, noting that it will strengthen accountability and foster better coordination across ministries.
