Iwobi Hails Team Unity as Nigeria Eyes AFCON Glory

Super Eagles midfielder Alex Iwobi says Nigeria’s strong team spirit and unity have been major factors behind the team’s impressive run at the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco. With Nigeria unbeaten through the group stage and into the semi‑finals against hosts Morocco, Iwobi attributes the team’s form to the cohesion both on and off the pitch.

Iwobi, the most experienced player in the squad, explained that while past tournaments saw a young Nigerian side still learning how to play together, the current group is entering its prime, with many players performing well for their clubs and bringing that confidence into the national team.
