The Nigerian Army has dismissed reports suggesting that aggrieved soldiers are planning a mutiny, describing the claims as false and misleading. Military authorities said there is no threat to discipline within the ranks and reaffirmed their commitment to addressing welfare concerns through structured reforms.

In a statement issued on Sunday, the Army stressed that the institution remains professional, united, and fully focused on its constitutional responsibility of defending the country. It noted that efforts are ongoing to improve the living and working conditions of personnel, including better accommodation, improved healthcare, and enhanced allowances.

Army leadership acknowledged that welfare challenges exist but insisted they are being tackled through established channels. According to the statement, recent reforms are already yielding results, with additional measures planned to further boost morale and operational effectiveness.

The Army also warned against the spread of unverified information capable of undermining national security and public confidence. It urged Nigerians to rely on official communication and assured citizens that the military remains stable and loyal to democratic authority.
