Former Abia State Governor and Senator representing Abia North, Orji Uzor Kalu, has dismissed suggestions that any opposition party could take over Abia State after the All Progressives Congress (APC) resolves its internal disagreements.

Kalu maintained that the APC remains deeply rooted across the state, insisting that no rival party has the structure or grassroots strength to displace it. He подчеркed that President Bola Tinubu is a committed democrat who must allow the democratic process to run its course, adding that he fully supports such an approach.

Reacting to claims that President Tinubu intended to “retire” all politicians in Abia, the former governor argued that the APC has more people on the ground than the current administration. He alleged that Governor Alex Otti appointed commissioners who lack proper grassroots connection, claiming some do not even know their respective polling units.

Kalu also narrated a personal incident involving the Abia State governor, stating that while he was maintaining a cordial relationship with Otti, an aide to the governor allegedly attacked and insulted him.
