Deji Adeyanju, a prominent Nigerian activist and lawyer, has called on the federal government to adopt a tougher stance against terrorism. He argued that individuals involved in terror acts and those who support them should face the ultimate penalty rather than be granted forgiveness.

Speaking publicly, Adeyanju emphasized that showing leniency to terrorists undermines efforts to protect citizens and combat violent extremism. He insisted that mercy should not be extended to people who have taken up arms or aided deadly groups.

The activist stressed that strict enforcement of the law is necessary to deter future attacks. According to him, allowing perpetrators to escape harsh punishment encourages further violence and destabilizes communities.

Adeyanju’s comments come amid ongoing battles between Nigerian security forces and insurgent groups. His stance reflects the frustration of many Nigerians who believe current strategies have not done enough to ensure safety and security across the country.
