Iran has turned down a ceasefire proposal from the United States, indicating that any halt in hostilities will only occur under conditions set by Tehran.

Officials said the proposal was rejected because it did not meet Iran’s expectations. Authorities described the offer as unrealistic and emphasized that the country would not accept terms it views as unfavorable.

Iranian representatives stressed that the conflict will continue until their strategic objectives are met, making it clear that the timing and terms of any ceasefire will be determined solely by their leadership.

Tehran reportedly outlined its own conditions for ending the war, including a halt to attacks against its territory and allied groups, guarantees against future aggression, compensation for damages, and broader recognition of its influence in key regional areas.

The rejection comes amid rising tensions in the Middle East, with ongoing military actions and diplomatic efforts yet to produce a breakthrough. Backchannel talks continue, but both sides remain far apart, raising concerns that the conflict could persist without resolution.
