A prominent entrepreneur and philanthropist, Chima Anyaso, has officially indicated his intention to contest for a seat in the House of Representatives, setting his sights on representing Bende Federal Constituency in the 2027 general elections.
Anyaso, who is widely known for his involvement in business and community development initiatives across Abia State, said his decision was driven by a desire to deepen grassroots representation and bring more responsive governance to his constituency. He emphasized the need for leadership that prioritizes economic empowerment, youth development, and improved infrastructure.
Speaking to supporters, he outlined plans to focus on job creation, support for small businesses, and better access to education and healthcare services if elected. He noted that many communities in the constituency still face development gaps that require practical and sustained legislative attention.
Political observers say his early declaration could reshape the race in Bende, as it gives him ample time to build alliances and connect with voters across the constituency. His entry is also expected to intensify political activity in the area as other aspirants prepare for the contest.
With the 2027 elections still some time away, constituents are expected to closely watch how candidates engage with local issues and present their agendas. Anyaso, however, maintains that his campaign will remain focused on inclusive growth and delivering tangible results for the people.
