Zamfara Governor Attends Energy Investment Summit in London

Zamfara State Governor, Dauda Lawal, is currently in London for the Kaduna Electric Franchise Energy Summit, a high-level forum focused on advancing energy investment and regional development.

The summit, themed “Driving Energy Investment and Regional Development,” has drawn key stakeholders, including Kaduna State Governor, Senator Uba Sani, and Kebbi State Governor, Nasiru Idris.

Also in attendance are senior government officials such as Secretaries to State Governments, commissioners, special advisers, and heads of agencies, including representatives from the Zamfara Electrification Agency and the Zamfara Investment Promotion Agency.

The event is aimed at exploring investment opportunities within the Kaduna Electric franchise area and implementing provisions of the 2023 Electricity Act. Discussions are expected to centre on boosting private sector participation and improving access to electricity across the region.
