Abia State Governor Alex Otti has called on all public office holders in the state to comply fully with asset declaration requirements, describing it as a fundamental duty for promoting transparency and accountability.

He emphasized that both political appointees and civil servants must complete the process promptly and without excuses. The governor noted that he and his deputy had already submitted their own declarations before assuming office.

Otti highlighted that the state government is working to modernize asset declaration procedures, including implementing digital systems to make it easier for officials to file their information online.

The directive is part of ongoing efforts to strengthen governance standards in Abia, ensuring that public officers fulfill their constitutional and ethical obligations while serving the people.
