The Member representing Isuikwuato/Umunneochi Federal Constituency, Hon Amobi Godwin Ogah, has extended warm felicitations to all fathers across Nigeria and particularly in his constituency, as the world marks this year’s Father’s Day celebration.
In a goodwill message made available to newsmen, Hon Ogah described fathers as the unwavering pillars of the family unit whose sacrifices, strength, and leadership form the bedrock of every thriving home and society. He noted that responsible fatherhood shapes the moral compass of the younger generation and contributes immensely to national development.
“Today, I salute all fathers — those who labour day and night to provide, protect, and nurture their families with love and discipline. Your dedication does not go unnoticed. You are the silent heroes behind strong families and a better nation,” Ogah stated.
While praying for more wisdom and good health for fathers, the federal lawmaker urged them to continue playing their roles as mentors, teachers, and protectors of values, even in the face of economic and social challenges. He assured that his office remains committed to supporting family-based policies and empowerment initiatives that strengthen fatherhood and family life in the constituency.
Hon Ogah also used the occasion to reaffirm his commitment to initiatives that support and uplift families within Isuikwuato/Umunneochi, emphasizing that empowered fathers lead to empowered homes. He revealed plans for upcoming empowerment programs, community support projects, and youth mentorship schemes aimed at complementing the vital roles fathers play in society, stressing that when fathers thrive, families and entire communities flourish.
The legislator further called on society at large to recognize and celebrate the role of fathers not only on special days but every day, through respect, appreciation, and collective support. According to him, building stronger families requires shared responsibility, with fathers at the center of moral direction, discipline, and economic stability.
