The Michael Okpara University of Agriculture, Umudike (MOUAU), has announced the restoration and full accreditation of seven Management Science programmes in its College of Management Sciences (COLMAS), marking a major academic milestone for the institution.

In an official statement signed by the Registrar, Dr. (Mrs.) Nkeiruka Charity Mbanasor, the University confirmed that five of the programmes, Accounting, Banking and Finance, Business Administration, Economics, and Marketing, which were delisted in 2019 by the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB), have now been fully restored. They have also attained full accreditation status by the National Universities Commission (NUC) and have been listed in the JAMB Central Admission Processing System (CAPS), effective from the 2024/2025 academic session.

The University is calling on all prospective students who scored 150 and above in the 2025 JAMB Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) to consider selecting MOUAU as their first choice institution to pursue any of these five accredited programmes under COLMAS.

Eligible candidates are advised to log in to the JAMB portal to make the necessary changes to their choice of institution and programme. Afterward, they are to visit the university’s official website at www.mouau.edu.ng to complete the online screening and registration process.

Highlighting the readiness of the College of Management Sciences, the University noted that it is equipped with “experienced, exposed, and professionally competent academic staff” alongside modern facilities to ensure students receive high-quality education in line with global best practices.

For further inquiries, candidates are encouraged to visit the university website or send an email to portal@mouau.edu.ng or pro@mouau.edu.ng.

This restoration is a welcome development for both the university community and aspiring students who now have access to a wider array of academic programmes within a federally recognized agricultural university.
