Anambra First Lady, Nonye Soludo, Wins 2025 Humanitarian Award for Health and Child Support

The First Lady of Anambra State, Dr. Nonye Soludo, has been named the winner of the “First Lady of the Year (Health-Care & Child Support)” at the 2025 Nigerian Humanitarian Awards & Magazine.

The prestigious recognition followed a nationwide nomination and public voting process that attracted thousands of entries from citizens and humanitarian stakeholders across Nigeria.

Organised by the Humanitarian Achievement and Outreach Foundation, the award celebrates Dr. Soludo’s exceptional leadership and impactful humanitarian efforts through her flagship programme, Healthy Living with Nonye Soludo. The initiative focuses on raising health awareness, promoting maternal and child care, offering nutritional education, and supporting vulnerable families across both rural and urban communities in Anambra State.

In a statement, the Founder and Convener of the Nigerian Humanitarian Awards, Emmanuel Anabueze, commended Dr. Soludo for her humility, dedication, and visible action in service to the public. He noted that she received an overwhelming share of public votes, a testament to her widespread impact and national appeal.

According to Anabueze, her mission to foster healthier homes and empower women with sustainable tools for family well-being resonated strongly with many Nigerians and ultimately secured her victory in a highly competitive category.

Dr. Soludo will officially receive the award on Friday, August 22, 2025, at the Nicon Luxury Hotel in Abuja. She will be honoured alongside other outstanding leaders, advocates, and changemakers who are shaping Nigeria’s humanitarian space.

The 2025 Nigerian Humanitarian Awards continues to spotlight individuals who embody service, compassion, and a commitment to nation-building—qualities Dr. Nonye Soludo has exemplified through her ongoing work.
