The Deputy Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Mojisola Lasbat Meranda, has unveiled plans to host a youth summer bootcamp aimed at equipping young people in Apapa Constituency 1 with essential digital skills.
Meranda, while speaking about the initiative, said the programme is tailored to empower young minds and prepare them for future opportunities in the tech space. The two-week intensive training, titled Rt. Hon. Mojisola Lasbat Meranda Youth Summer Coding Bootcamp, will introduce participants to the basics of coding, creative problem-solving, and digital innovation.
According to a statement released from her office on Saturday, the bootcamp is a collaborative effort between the Mocare Meranda Charity Foundation and the Office of the Deputy Speaker, Lagos State House of Assembly.
“We are thrilled to announce the annual Youth Summer Coding Bootcamp. It is a unique opportunity to empower our youths and equip them for a promising future,” Meranda stated. She encouraged young people not to miss the opportunity to “learn, create, and innovate.”
The programme will run in two batches: Batch A will take place from August 18 to 29, 2025, while Batch B is scheduled for August 30 to September 12, 2025.
