The Speaker of the Ekiti State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Adeoye Aribasoye, has restated the Assembly’s unwavering support for agribusiness development in the state, emphasizing that agriculture remains a key driver of economic growth and job creation.
Speaking during a legislative visit to Agbeyewa Farms in Ipao Ekiti, located in the Ikole Local Government Area, Aribasoye commended the agro-allied enterprise for its significant contributions to food production, employment opportunities, and economic advancement.
“This project is in line with Governor Biodun Oyebanji’s vision to make agriculture the foundation of Ekiti’s economic future,” Aribasoye said. “As a legislature, we will continue to support ventures like this that are putting Ekiti on the map as a hub for agribusiness excellence.”
Welcoming the lawmakers, the Managing Director of Agbeyewa Farms, Mr. Seyi Ayeleso, expressed gratitude for the visit, describing it as a strong endorsement of private sector-led investment in agriculture. He outlined the farm’s ongoing efforts in cassava cultivation, processing, agro-trading, and community development, adding that Agbeyewa Farms—a subsidiary of Cavista Holdings—is committed to promoting food security, youth empowerment, and sustainable economic growth.
Ayeleso noted that the Assembly’s visit reflects the vital role of public-private partnerships in accelerating inclusive development across Ekiti State.
During the tour, legislators were introduced to the farm’s mechanized agricultural operations, upcoming modern processing infrastructure, and sustainability-driven farming practices at both the Ipao and Gede/Iyemero sites.
