Kyiv, Ukraine: In a significant escalation of hostilities, the Russian military unleashed an onslaught of 614 air attack munitions across Ukraine overnight into Thursday, according to reports from the Ukrainian Air Force. The assault has been described as a “massive combined air strike” by Ukraine’s Foreign Minister, Andrii Sybiha, targeting various locations throughout the country.

The Ukrainian Air Force detailed that this overnight barrage consisted of 574 drones and 40 missiles. Notably, Ukrainian defenses successfully intercepted or neutralized 546 drones and 31 missiles during the attacks. However, impacts were reported in 11 different areas across the nation.

Condemning the aggression, Minister Sybiha stated on social media platform X that “despite all diplomatic efforts to bring about peace, Russia continues to wage war against Ukraine with unprecedented force.” He emphasized that both “civilian and energy infrastructure” were among the prominent targets.

Further elaborating on the damage inflicted, Sybiha reported that one missile struck a major American electronics manufacturing facility located in Mukachevo, a city situated approximately 16 miles from Hungary and 25 miles from Slovakia. This attack resulted in significant damage and casualties, underscoring the ongoing peril to civilian life in the conflict.

This latest wave of air strikes underscores the persistent volatility in the region as Ukraine continues to defend itself against Russian aggression.
