The high-profile case of alleged underworld kingpin Jerome Booysen and 11 co-accused is set to continue in the Cape Town High Court on Monday.
Proceedings are currently focused on a trial-within-a-trial, which will determine whether transcripts of intercepted phone calls involving Booysen, the late Mark Lifman, Andre Naude, and others may be admitted as evidence.
Last week, prosecutors called a witness specializing in intercepted communications, and the court was presented with a CD containing the recordings in question.
Booysen faces several serious charges, including the 2017 murder of alleged steroid smuggler Brian Wainstein.
