Galatasaray manager Okan Buruk has given an update on striker Victor Osimhen’s fitness ahead of Thursday’s UEFA Champions League away fixture against Eintracht Frankfurt.
Osimhen is nursing an ankle ligament injury sustained while on international duty for Nigeria in last weekend’s clash against Rwanda. The 26-year-old missed Galatasaray’s 2-0 Turkish Super Lig win over Eyüpspor on Saturday, where goals from Mauro Icardi and Yunus Akgün secured victory.
Speaking after the match, Buruk said Osimhen’s availability for the Frankfurt tie remains uncertain.
“Osimhen’s condition will be clear in a few days. He has pain, and we will see if he can play with it [against Frankfurt],” the coach stated.
