The Sokoto State Government has announced that its graduate recruitment exercise will begin on Monday, September 22, and run through October 6, 2025.

In a statement issued on Saturday, the Secretary of the Recruitment Committee, Gandi Muhammad, explained that the initiative is designed to create employment opportunities for qualified indigenes of the state. He noted that interested applicants can obtain application forms free of charge from their local government areas before completing the online registration at https://employment.sokotostate.gov.ng.

Muhammad outlined that candidates must register with valid email addresses and phone numbers, provide personal and educational details, and upload necessary documents such as academic certificates, proof of indigene, birth certificate, and National Identification Number. Applicants will also be required to take a passport-style photograph during the online process. He emphasized that the exercise is completely free, warning that multiple submissions could result in disqualification. Shortlisted candidates will be contacted through their email or via the recruitment portal.

Governor Ahmed Aliyu, who recently approved the committee overseeing the process, said the recruitment aims to engage 3,000 new workers across all 23 local government areas. He stressed that the exercise is targeted at tackling unemployment and boosting key sectors, with priority given to unemployed graduates holding NCE, HND, or degree qualifications.
