Lagos, Nigeria, October 7, 2025 Opeyemi Ayanwale, popularly known as Imisi, the winner of Big Brother Naija Season 10, has revealed that renowned actress and filmmaker Funke Akindele is her greatest mentor and expressed her ambition to collaborate with her in the future.

The 23-year-old reality TV star made the remarks during the grand prize presentation ceremony held on Tuesday in Lagos, where she was awarded ₦150 million and a brand-new SUV.

Reflecting on her journey in the Big Brother house, Imisi shared that the experience rekindled her passion for acting and showcased her natural talent to audiences nationwide.

“People saw a lot of my acting while I was in the house. Even my fellow housemates said I’m a natural actress. I’m ready to take on more acting roles,” she said.

Imisi also praised other industry figures who inspire her, including Bimbo Ademoye and Bolaji Ogunmola, while reiterating her admiration for Funke Akindele as her primary mentor.

Expressing gratitude for the overwhelming support she received, Imisi thanked her fans and supporters across Nigeria. When asked about claims that ethnic loyalty influenced her win, she responded, “Maybe. Yoruba people are very supportive of their own, so that might’ve played a role. But honestly, I believe people connected with my realness and vulnerability.”

She further appreciated her Celestial Church community for their prayers and emphasized her readiness to build a lasting career in the entertainment industry.

“Fame is new to me, but I’m eager to learn and grow. I will seek mentorship and be intentional about my next steps,” she added.

Imisi’s victory marks a significant milestone in her career, and she hopes to leverage the platform to advance her aspirations in acting and entertainment.
