Sir Mascot Uzor-Kalu has infused a spiritual dimension into his 2027 governorship ambition, declaring that his campaign is guided by faith, purpose, and divine direction.
Speaking during his official declaration, Mascot quoted Saint Teresa of Avila to emphasize patience, trust in God, and steadfastness as the pillars of his political journey.
“Our project is anchored on God. Patience obtains all things. Whoever has God lacks nothing. God alone suffices,” he told supporters amid applause.
He also unveiled his campaign slogan:
“Onye rụọ, orie! Arutu uzu, arutu afọ!!”
(He who works, eats. When the barn is full, the stomach is full.)
Mascot urged the people of Abia to unite behind a shared vision of growth and prosperity, stressing that his mission is not a personal quest but a collective effort to build a greater Abia.
