Former Minister of States for Mines and Steel Development Dr Uche Ogah, has declared that Governor Alex Otti is a divine instrument in restoring hope and dignity to the people of Abia State, stating that “God has used him to wipe away the tears of Abians.”

Speaking to newsmen in Umuahia, Ogah noted that the ongoing transformation across key sectors of the state reflects purposeful leadership and a clear departure from years of stagnation. “What we are witnessing today in Abia is nothing short of a turnaround. For the first time in many years, our people can truly feel the impact of governance,” he said.

According to him, the present administration has demonstrated uncommon political will in addressing long-standing challenges, particularly in urban renewal and road rehabilitation. He pointed out that areas previously considered inaccessible have now been opened up, easing economic activities and improving the daily lives of citizens.

Ogah further commended the governor’s approach to transparency and accountability, describing it as a model worthy of emulation across the country. “Governor Otti has shown that with sincerity, discipline, and fear of God, leadership can truly transform lives. Abia is gradually becoming a reference point,” he added.

The former minister also urged Abians to continue supporting the current administration, noting that sustainable development requires collective effort and patience. He added that while much has been achieved, more remains to be done, and consistency in governance will be key to consolidating the gains already recorded.

Reaffirming his commitment to the progress of Abia State, Ogah called on political stakeholders to place the interest of the people above personal ambitions, insisting that the emerging success story in the state should be protected and strengthened for future generations.
