Nollywood actress Uche Montana has publicly refuted claims linking her to the reported drug abuse issues involving fellow actress Regina Daniels and her husband, Senator Ned Nwoko.
On Monday, Montana took to Instagram to clarify that she had no role in undermining Daniels’ rehabilitation. Her statement follows allegations made by Nwoko on Facebook, in which he accused Daniels’ friends and family, including Montana and actress Sonia Uche, of sabotaging her recovery by ignoring medical advice and supplying prohibited substances.
Addressing the claims, Montana wrote:
“My attention has been drawn to a circulating post that appears to link my name to certain claims. For clarity, I have no involvement or connection to the situation described. This note is simply to set the record straight and protect my peace.”
The statement comes amid escalating controversy surrounding Daniels and Nwoko’s marriage. Recently, Daniels appeared in a viral video alleging domestic abuse and claiming she felt like a “slave” in her husband’s home. Nwoko countered by accusing Daniels of drug and alcohol addiction and violent behavior toward household staff, while Daniels claimed her husband introduced her to substances, restricted her freedom, confiscated her phones, and forced himself on her.
By issuing this statement, Uche Montana aims to distance herself from the ongoing dispute and deny any involvement in the alleged drug-related activities surrounding Daniels and Nwoko.
