Member Representing Isuikwuato, State, Constituency and Abia State House Of Assembly Hon Lucky Johnson has dismissed emerging political alignments ahead of the 2027 general elections, declaring that no coalition or backroom alliance can stop Governor Alex Otti from securing a second term in office. Speaking during an interaction with his supporters, Johnson said he is not surprised that political actors are regrouping, but insisted that their efforts will amount to nothing.
According to him, history has shown that when politicians come together without the backing of the people, such gatherings only end in confusion. He noted that Abians have tasted a new style of leadership under Otti and are not ready to return to the old ways. He said they can meet, plan, and plot all they want, but when the time comes, they will scatter.
Johnson stressed that the governor’s performance has already sealed his fate positively in the hearts of the people. He pointed to improvements in governance, transparency, and infrastructure, saying these achievements speak louder than political propaganda. He added that the masses are now more politically conscious and will not be deceived by familiar faces seeking a comeback.
The lawmaker further assured that his constituency and the wider Abia North zone are fully mobilized to deliver massive votes for Otti in 2027. He described the coming election as a referendum on good governance, insisting that the people will use their ballots to protect the progress already recorded.
Johnson also urged the people of Abia to remain vigilant and not allow desperation from any quarter to distract them from the bigger picture. He called for peaceful political engagement, saying the focus should be on ideas, records, and service rather than insults and intimidation. According to him, Abia has moved beyond politics of bitterness and must now protect the gains of the present administration with unity and purpose.
He concluded by warning those Political Plotters banking on political drama to brace for disappointment and Hands Off Abia, stating that Abia’s future is already decided by the people. He declared that Otti’s victory is not negotiable, sealed by performance, sealed by the people, and sealed by God.
