The Chairman of BUA Group, Abdul Samad Rabiu, has reaffirmed that he will fulfil his $500,000 pledge to Nigeria’s Super Eagles even though the team did not win the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations title.

Rabiu praised the squad for their courage, unity, and fighting spirit throughout the tournament. He said that although Nigeria did not reach the final, the players made the nation proud with their performance.

He emphasised that results don’t always reflect effort, and the passion and resilience shown by the team were worthy of recognition. Therefore, he will honour the $500,000 reward he had promised before the competition began.

Rabiu also encouraged the Super Eagles to keep their heads high and use the experience gained to fuel greater success in future tournaments.
