The Nigerian Army and the Nigeria Police Force have reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening cooperation to improve safety and security across Delta State. The renewed focus on inter‑agency teamwork followed a courtesy visit by the State Police Commissioner, CP Aina Adesola, to the Commander of the 63 Brigade and Joint Task Force, Operation Delta Safe, Brigadier‑General Moronfolu Shonibare in Asaba.
The meeting sought to deepen strategic collaboration between military and police units with the aim of enhancing operational effectiveness throughout the state.
CP Adesola highlighted the need for timely intelligence sharing, joint planning, and sustained cooperation among security agencies to more effectively address crime, especially in the riverine and coastal areas of Delta.
In response, Brig‑Gen. Shonibare reaffirmed the military’s readiness to work closely with the police and other security partners in preventing crime, maintaining public order, and safeguarding lives and property across the state.
Both leaders emphasised that strong inter‑agency coordination remains central to bolstering security and ensuring lasting peace for residents of Delta.
