The Federal Government has delivered 80,500 doses of livestock vaccines to Ekiti State to strengthen animal health and prevent the spread of diseases among cattle, poultry, and other farm animals.
State officials said the vaccines will be distributed across farming communities through organised immunisation drives to protect livestock and support farmers’ livelihoods.
Authorities highlighted that effective disease surveillance and timely vaccination are crucial for improving food security, increasing livestock productivity, and reducing the risk of outbreaks.
Veterinary experts stressed that proper cold-chain management and collaboration with field officers will be essential to the success of the programme, ensuring that animals are protected and public health is safeguarded.
