Edo State has assembled 282 athletes to participate in the second edition of the Niger Delta Games scheduled to take place in Benin City later this month. The team will compete across 16 different sports, highlighting the state’s commitment to athletic development.
Officials noted that Edo is the only state among the nine in the region to have fully gathered its athletes in a residential training camp. The early preparations aim to ensure the athletes are disciplined and ready to perform at their best.
The Niger Delta Games are designed to promote regional unity and youth engagement through sport, providing a platform for emerging talents to showcase their skills.
