Thomas Tuchel, manager of England’s men’s football team, has signed a contract extension that will keep him in charge until after the UEFA European Championship in 2028.
Tuchel, who took over the national team in early 2025, was initially on a short-term deal set to expire after this year’s World Cup. The extension ensures stability in leadership as England prepares to host Euro 2028 in the UK and Ireland.
The German coach will now lead the team through the 2026 World Cup in North America and into the home European Championship two years later, a period seen as crucial for the team’s development.
Several key members of his backroom staff have also committed to stay, signaling a unified approach as England gears up for upcoming international competitions.
