Eno Seeks Federal Support, Studies Agricultural Models to Boost Akwa Ibom

Governor Umo Eno of Akwa Ibom State has highlighted his recent visit to President Bola Tinubu and a leading agricultural facility in Nasarawa as part of efforts to strengthen development initiatives in his state. He explained that the trips were aimed at seeking federal collaboration and learning from successful agricultural models.

During his meeting with the president, Eno discussed strategies to accelerate growth, enhance infrastructure, and create more opportunities for residents. He emphasized that maintaining strong communication between state and federal authorities is key to implementing effective development programs.

The governor also toured the CSS Farm in Nasarawa to gain insights into innovative farming techniques and management practices. He said the experience will inform improvements to Akwa Ibom’s Ibom Model Farm, helping to increase agricultural productivity and sustainability.

Eno concluded that lessons from the farm visit and discussions with federal officials will shape future policies, aiming to improve both the economy and quality of life for Akwa Ibom residents. He stressed that adopting best practices from other regions is essential for long-term growth and self-sufficiency.
