FAAC Disburses N1.818 Trillion June Revenue to Federal, State, and Local Governments

The Federation Account Allocation Committee (FAAC) has distributed a total of N1.818 trillion in revenue for the month of June 2025 to the Federal Government, state governments, and local government councils.

This was disclosed in a communiqué released after the FAAC meeting held on Friday night in Abuja. The statement, issued by Bawa Mokwa, Director of Press and Public Relations at the Office of the Accountant-General of the Federation, outlined the revenue sources and allocations.

According to the communiqué, the total distributable revenue of N1.818 trillion comprises:

N1.018 trillion from statutory revenue

N631.507 billion from Value Added Tax (VAT)

N29.165 billion from the Electronic Money Transfer Levy (EMTL)

N38.849 billion from Exchange Difference

N100 billion augmentation from Non-Mineral revenue


Gross revenue for the month stood at N4.232 trillion. Out of this, N162.786 billion was deducted for collection costs, while N2.251 trillion was earmarked for transfers, interventions, refunds, and savings.

The communiqué noted that gross statutory revenue rose to N3.485 trillion in June from N2.094 trillion in May—an increase of N1.39 trillion. However, VAT revenue dropped from N742.820 billion in May to N678.165 billion in June, marking a decline of N64.655 billion.

From the N1.818 trillion shared:

The Federal Government received N645.383 billion

The 36 state governments received N607.417 billion

The 774 LGs received N444.853 billion

An additional N120.759 billion (13% derivation from mineral revenue) was allocated to oil-producing states

From N1.018 trillion statutory revenue:

FG: N474.455 billion

States: N240.650 billion

LGs: N185.531 billion

Derivation: N118.256 billion


From N631.507 billion VAT:

FG: N94.726 billion

States: N315.754 billion

LGs: N221.027 billion


From N29.165 billion EMTL:

FG: N4.375 billion

States: N14.582 billion

LGs: N10.208 billion


From N38.849 billion Exchange Difference:

FG: N19.147 billion

States: N9.712 billion

LGs: N7.487 billion

Derivation: N2.503 billion


From N100 billion Augmentation:

FG: N52.680 billion

States: N26.720 billion

LGs: N20.600 billion



FAAC also noted a significant increase in Companies Income Tax, Petroleum Profit Tax, and EMTL, while there were declines in Oil and Gas Royalties, VAT, Import Duty, Excise Duty, and CET Levies.
