Home-based Super Eagles captain, Junior Nduka, has completed a permanent switch to Iraqi topflight side, Erbil FC. The defender signed a three-year contract with the club, ending his spell with Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) champions, Remo Stars.

Nduka’s exit adds to the list of key players who have recently left the Sky Blue Stars, including Kayode Bankole, Sikiru Alimi, Franck Mawuena, Fabian Nworie, and Seun Ogunribide. His departure marks another significant change for Remo Stars as they prepare for the upcoming season.

The centre-back was instrumental in Remo Stars’ league triumph last campaign, where his defensive solidity and leadership were vital to their success. Known for his composure on the ball and strong presence at the back, Nduka established himself as one of the team’s most consistent performers.

On the international stage, Nduka further showcased his quality by featuring in every minute of Nigeria’s three matches at the 2024 African Nations Championship. His move to Erbil FC represents a new chapter in his career as he looks to make his mark in Iraqi football.
