Nigerian-born leadership coach and author, Peter Adeleke, has entered the Guinness World Records after delivering the world’s longest leadership lesson, lasting 28 hours and 45 minutes in Calgary, Canada.

Adeleke, who began the marathon lecture in August with a target of 30 to 48 hours, successfully surpassed the previous 24-hour record. On Monday, he shared the confirmation from Guinness World Records via Instagram, declaring himself an official title holder.

Guinness confirmed the achievement on its website, noting that Adeleke, an author, speaker, and certified leadership expert, set out to inspire a shift in the global narrative of leadership and spark conversations around transformational leadership.

Reflecting on the milestone, Adeleke said his success was not just about hitting his initial 48-hour target but about pushing boundaries and making an impact. “Did I break the record? Yes, I did — and it’s now official and confirmed! What mattered most was surpassing the previous record of 24 hours,” he stated.

This recognition places Adeleke among a growing list of Nigerians holding Guinness World Records, including celebrity chef Hilda Baci, who recently set a record for the largest serving of Nigerian-style jollof rice, adding to her earlier feat for the longest cooking marathon.
