Manchester United have completed an agreement to sign 17-year-old Colombian midfielder Cristian Orozco from Fortaleza CEIF.
The deal, confirmed on Thursday by transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, will see Orozco officially join the Red Devils in the summer of 2026 when he turns 18. Romano disclosed that United’s legal team has approved all contracts, with the move coordinated by the club’s lead scout, Gerardo Guzmán Antonaccio.
“Manchester United have sealed and signed a deal to bring in 17-year-old Colombian talent Cristian Orozco. $1m transfer fee from Fortaleza in a deal valid from summer 2026. #MUFC lawyers approved all the contracts, deal coordinated by lead scout Antonaccio,” Romano wrote on X.
Orozco, who captains Colombia’s Under-17 national team, is a defensive midfielder known for his intensity and leadership qualities. He guided his country to the final of the Under-17 South American Championships last year and has already featured in Colombia’s domestic league with Fortaleza CEIF.
The teenager now joins Manchester United’s growing pool of young prospects, following the arrivals of Sekou Kone and Chido Obi-Martin, as the club continues to build for the future.
