Manchester City midfielder Rodri has withdrawn from the Spanish national team after sustaining a minor muscle injury during Sunday’s match. Although the injury is not deemed serious, the decision was made as a precaution to allow the player adequate time to recover.

Football journalist Fabrizio Romano quoted the Spanish international on Monday as saying, “I am feeling better, but no risk with the national team. I hope to be available in two weeks for the Everton game.” His statement indicates optimism within the Manchester City camp that he will be ready for action after the international break.

Rodri’s absence will, however, be a setback for Spain as they gear up for their upcoming fixtures. National team coach Luis de la Fuente is expected to test alternative midfield combinations to compensate for the loss of one of his key players.

Meanwhile, Manchester City will keep a close watch on Rodri’s recovery progress, given his pivotal role in the club’s Premier League title pursuit and their Champions League campaign. His quick return to full fitness remains a top priority for both the player and his club.
