Nottingham Forest have officially confirmed the appointment of Sean Dyche as the club’s new Head Coach on a contract running until the summer of 2027.
In a statement posted on the club’s official X handle on Tuesday, Forest revealed that Dyche’s appointment followed a rigorous recruitment process led by Global Head of Football, Edu Gaspar, and Global Technical Director, George Syrianos.
A former Forest youth player, Dyche is set to take charge of his first game on Thursday night when The Reds face FC Porto in the Europa League. He will be joined by his long-time assistants, Ian Woan and Steve Stone — both ex-Forest players with over 400 appearances for the club between them.
“Dyche’s deep connection to the club, his tactical intelligence, and proven leadership make him the ideal candidate to guide Forest into a new era,” the club stated. “With his experience and understanding of Forest’s values and supporters, he is well-positioned to lead a successful and competitive campaign across domestic and European competitions.”
Dyche’s appointment comes after the dismissal of Ange Postecoglou, as the club seeks to build on its recent progress and strengthen its performance under a seasoned Premier League manager known for his defensive discipline and motivational management style.
