Carabao Cup Quarter-Finals Set: Arsenal Draw Crystal Palace in Exciting Clash

Arsenal have been drawn against Crystal Palace in a high-stakes Carabao Cup quarter-final, as the last-eight matchups were revealed on Wednesday night.

The live draw, broadcast on Sky Sports Main Event after Newcastle United’s 2–0 win over Tottenham Hotspur, also paired Premier League champions Manchester City with Brentford at the Etihad Stadium, while Chelsea will travel to face Cardiff City. Defending champions Newcastle United will host Fulham at St James’ Park.

Sky Sports presenter Mark Chapman conducted the draw alongside pundits Jamie Redknapp and Jobi McAnuff. The quarter-finals are set for the week starting December 15. Arsenal’s clash with Palace is particularly intriguing after the Eagles’ impressive 3–0 victory over Liverpool in Round Four.

All quarter-finalists advanced following an eventful Round Four: Arsenal defeated Brighton 2–0, Crystal Palace stunned Liverpool 3–0 at Anfield, Chelsea narrowly beat Wolves 4–3, Manchester City overcame Swansea 3–1, and Newcastle United triumphed over Tottenham 2–0. As the competition heats up, City and Chelsea will both aim to secure a return to Wembley, while Newcastle looks to continue their title defence.
