The Super Eagles Supporters Club has officially launched its Anambra State Chapter, marking the occasion with a vibrant ceremony at the Onitsha Sports Club in Onitsha. The event also served to formally welcome the National President, Prince Vincent Okumagba, to the state.

The ceremony, held on Monday, drew football enthusiasts, sports administrators, and supporters from across Nigeria, including Lagos, reflecting the unifying power of football among Nigerians.

Prince Okumagba emphasized football’s ability to transcend tribe, culture, religion, and social class. Speaking at the inauguration of the Anambra State Executive, he said, “Football speaks the language of love, competition, and peaceful coexistence. As supporters, we provide moral support and cheer the Super Eagles wherever they play—home or abroad, win or lose. We are the 12th man on the field. We also commend the Federal Government and the National Sports Commission for supporting our recent trip to Morocco.”

Chief Kingsley Uduh, the newly-inaugurated Chairman of the Anambra Chapter, promised transparent and inclusive leadership, stating, “Our doors are open to all indigenes. The strength of our club lies in our numbers, and I will ensure members receive what is due to them fairly.” Officials from the Anambra State Sports Commission, including Emeka Obidinma, pledged government support and urged the new executive to uphold unity and love—the core of football. The event featured musical performances, the decoration of the new executive, gifts to the National President, and the cutting of the inaugural cake.
